This is a fairly simple lightstick, self contained, with motion detection. I hung this in my storage box so I could see what I was doing in this box (the box does not come with interior lighting) and found it to be very helpful with this. The magnetic holster is pretty smart too - just attach it to a surface that will hold it (either with double-sided tape or screws, both included) and it'll hold up nicely. With the holster in place, just grab the flashlight to carry and put it back when you're done. USB is preinstalled and there are no removable batteries. So when it's time to charge, either grab a flashlight and plug it in, or plug in an external battery (like the ones Anker is famous for). Charging is relatively quick, in just a few hours. The reason I'm giving it four stars is that the double sided tape isn't constructed in such a way that I can easily peel the backing off of said tape - it took me ten minutes of toil. in a reasonably warm storage room just to tape off the tape, and finally couldn't until it started cooperating. I think it would be useful for the manufacturer to find a way to peel the backing off the tape, making it easier to install the magnetic mount.
