My son just got married and just bought a house. There were two pears growing in his garden that were sick and had to be removed. The barrels were 8 inch and 5 inch respectively. I live 900 miles from his house, so I didn't want to deal with the mess that comes with transporting my gas-powered chainsaw, especially in my wife's SUV. So I took these blades and a 20 volt reciprocating saw. I was able to remove both trees and chop them down with 1-1/2 battery charges. I used one blade for the entire operation and it cut very well. I felled all the trees except three-foot trunks. I left it for his friend to take down with his chainsaw. We put all the rubbish in big paper bags for the local garbage truck to take away. These are high quality knives with an aggressive cut. The teeth form a wide kerf that prevents the blade from binding. They don't break like thinner, cheaper discs. I recommend these blades for serious back and forth tree pruning.
