Very easy to install - it required a call to IOGear tech support to use the wireless keyboard/mouse - but they were great. You can now switch between desktop and laptop using the same shared peripherals (monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers). I connected my home desktop (HP) to port 1 and my work laptop (Thinkpad) to port 4, I have 2 ports open for future. During the installation I learned a few things: 1) Each device must be configured and working properly BEFORE it is connected to KVM ie. all drivers are installed, printers/monitors work, screen resolution is correct. because the KVM switch learns from your existing setup. 2) My speakers had to be reset to default after setting the switch on each of my two devices, but that's easy. 3) Adjust the power settings when connected to the network - the screen goes black after 15 minutes and turns off like never before, waking up when you turn it on (instead of pulling out the laptop and opening it every time it does some time has passed since use you only have to turn it on and off when I know I have periods of inactivity (e.g. weekends for a work laptop.) Otherwise all cables included, slim profile, clean look, which i like very much happy with it!
