Review on Zilla Mini Halogen Bulb for Reptile Terrarium Heat Lamps by David Gonzalez

I love this light! I was looking for a compact heat source and this one suited my needs. I was concerned that 25W would be too little, but it puts out an amazing amount of heat at just 25W. I think their description that their 25 watts are equivalent to 50-75 bulbs is accurate! I run it as a spot run on my leopard gecko's Exo Terra 24x18x12 (I also run under tank heat). I originally placed it about 4 inches above a flat rock and found it got too hot to touch the rock so I had to adjust it a bit and it was perfect. This is focused heat that doesn't affect the ambient temperature too much on the cold side. The only downside for me is that it's a bright red/white light, but the geckos don't care. The advantage of this is that you can take great night photos! UPDATE: December 2019. I still love those little onions, I've switched all my other herpes to them. The original bulb from 2017 still works. She survived when I groped for the lamp or knocked it over. Unfortunately they don't survive a fall onto a wooden floor as I understand it lol.
