I bought this camera to go canoeing. It has been fully submerged in water several times and has worked well hence the waterproof part gets 5 stars. In terms of quality, it is NOT comparable to your current Android or iPhone. The quality reminds me of digital cameras from circa 2010 - see attached blurry photos taken with all settings in auto mode. (Other photos looked better, but these show what some of the poorer quality photos looked like.) And one final note: to take a photo, you had to hold the shutter button down an extra moment, causing confusion if someone else came used it. - and blurry images.
