Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ Sony RM KZ1 Children's Universal Remote Control by Darlene Myles

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The child likes it, but there are disadvantages.

Bought this for my 3.5 year old. It's easy for her to work with and she likes that she has some control over the TV. I have several complaints about it that prevent me from giving it a 5 star rating: 1. I have an AT&T U-verse. The remote doesn't turn on the cable box, it turns on the TV and changes channels on the cable box when it's on. I had to teach my kid to turn on the cable box manually, after that she could use the remote control.2. There are 7 buttons on the remote control. Once you have programmed them, pressing the button will automatically enter the programmed channel number by number. It can contain up to 4 channel numbers. If your child presses the button more than once, they will enter the programmed number as many times as it is pressed. For example Nick is on channel 314 and has been programmed to button number 1 (asterisk), when my daughter presses the asterisk twice it dials 314314 and the TV switches to channel 3143 and then stops at channel 14 which is home Load. network and is NOT one of its channels. Your child may have accidentally switched to a channel with inappropriate content, or I may have seen an older child do so on purpose to "hit" the remote control.
