This is awesome to take along when flying drones. Instead of taking the weather reports word for it, you can measure the wind in real time, where you are flying. This helps greatly reduce the risks of flying in to high of winds that can lead to your drone getting carried away by the wind, or worse. crashes. The fan does take a few sections to catch up to speed, but once it's going, seems to be pretty accurate compared to some of my more expensive versions. It's small, compact and durable, making it nice to carry along with out the fear of it getting broken. It is inexpensive enough that, compared to the pricey options available, it does the job, but I wouldn't be as upset if something did happen to it. The temperate reading seems to be within a few degrees from I read on the thermostat in my home. I don't necessarily need to know the air temp for my purposes, but it is a handy thing to know.If you fly drones, or rc planes or helicopter, I would definitely recommend picking one of these up.
