My son (3.5 years old) hates getting his face wet. Apparently this is causing a problem in the pool. I had those swimmers they sell at Target, which is some sort of life jacket with inflatable sleeves (I forgot the brand name) and he was good at it, but it stopped him from using his arms to swim and also from being brave to be. Swimming pool. That was excellent. Now he runs around in the paddling pool without a swimmer, uses it in the main pool, and keeps trying to dip his head deeper and deeper for fun. He can use his hands easily, and I keep reminding him to make half circles with his hands so he swims and doesn't warm up like a dog all the time. It has helped him a lot to feel more confident and brave in the water. I have already recommended this to other people.
