Apparently it was a new product when I bought it as there were no reviews for it at the time but it had the features I was looking for so I decided to give it a try. I installed it a little over a month ago and am very happy with how it works. There were three features I particularly wanted: 1) A base that would give you more flexibility as to where you put the screws when mounting it to the wall. 2) Articulating arms that allow you to either push it against the wall or pull it 12 inches away from the wall. 3) Fully flexible (but VESA compliant) TV mount, This allows you to adjust the TV vertically to move it higher or lower and adjust left/right tilt to keep the TV level even if the base is not 100% level. . This mount does all three very well and is perfect for our 55 inch TV. There are also adjustment screws that allow you to rotate the bottom edge of the TV closer to the wall or farther from the wall, allowing you to tilt the TV down. a little if you need. The structure is made of high-quality, durable metal that's as strong as stone, yet pivots smoothly to adjust vision. #1 above is especially important because if you've ever done a wall project before, you'll know that the studs are almost never right there, where you need them The mount has a top and bottom rail, each about 17 inches wide, with multiple slots along each rail that screws can fit in, you can make it work even if the studs are in your wall are not exactly aligned.
