Review on Sunlite 98284 TL L505 Tail Light by Mario Schultz

Good flashlight for the price but not weatherproof

This light does what it promises for the price. It's bright enough (I've seen brighter lights), the different modes are pleasant to the touch, and it doesn't drain batteries. I use lamps most of the day and am always amazed at how long it takes me between changes. For the price this is a good light that should suit the average driver. My only complaint is that it got stuck due to water getting in. It has a seal around the battery compartment, but it looks like water has entered the case where the button is. I ride in the suburbs all year round and ride all weather in upstate New York. Wind, rain, snow, heat, we have it all. Last winter my light went on and then I didn't work for two or three weeks because of rain, snow or salt on the road - who knows. The button didn't respond at all. I had to remove the batteries to turn it off. It eventually dried up and returned to normal operation, but it's not really weatherproof. It has never been flooded, but heavy rains, puddles, road salt will break through that light. But it's back to normal so I'd say it's stable!

Pros
  • Rear lights
Cons
  • Expensive
