We bought these for our diesel Class A motorhome They don't break off in the wind. They detach just as easily, but you'll need more space in your baskets to store them because they don't fold like regular ones. However, it's worth crawling on the ground and trying to wind up the bungee cords at the back. It was a great purchase and well worth the extra cost. I found the best price here at Revain.
