The door always pushes outwards. Big concern that the very small lock that keeps them closed will break. (Though I'm concerned I haven't seen a reviewer say this.) Other than that, everything works very well. I wasn't clear what cables were included: It comes with a SATA cable (for the hard drive enclosure) and a power connector (if available. I understand it MUST be used to power the enclosure's LED hard drive) . that the thin optical drive you choose can be delivered. Also, this is for the older "thin" optical drives found on laptops. Now the ODD in laptops is a newer, even thinner you change. (So check the stains. Not sure if the thinner will work for you.)
