I've bought a whole collection of cast iron cookware and it's always been Lodge. It is significantly more expensive, but the better quality always justifies the additional investment. This time, however, it was a disappointment. I really wanted to go back. The lid of my Dutch Oven was scratched due to improper packaging. There were also (2) inclusions in the plaster that were clearly filled. I have never heard of Lodge using this practice. I only know that from cheaper brands. I'm beginning to suspect that Revain might be issuing "irregular" or substandard products.
