Review on Keenso Solid BRM 60DD Control Communication by Evan Zurlo

I needed something to switch a large inductive load (don't forget the flyback diode!) without exploding on an external circuit failure. That suits my needs. I bought a few, donated one for my own learning and wasn't disappointed to find that these packages are a high performance IGBT (IXGQ240N30PB) theoretically capable of working to the specs advertised and printed on the part - glad to know the specs are not deceptive these are some chinese brands. These transistors aren't cheap in and of themselves, so considering the $12 purchase of this transistor, both the relay control circuitry and the hefty heatsink/backplate, it's a good deal. This relay works reliably and with a sufficiently fast switching speed for my needs. I haven't fully tested the device or pushed it to its limits, but I have no reason to doubt that it can handle the advertised performance.
