My car already has a ceramic coating so it works great! I washed the car once with Meguiar's car shampoo and the snow lathered the car with Hydro2 and left it for a while before I force washed it off. Some of the bottom parts of my machine don't have a ceramic coating, but water forms a ceramic coating after using this product. I will update in 2 months to let you guys know how the bottom plate holds up with just the Hydro2. Update: It's now May 17th, 4 months since I first used this product and I'm surprisingly happy! Water is still dripping on my non-ceramic parts. I wash my car every month and at this point I tried to remove the coating with a high pH soap and the coating stayed on the car. I've also noticed that dust no longer collects on my machine, unlike the ceramic coating on my machine which felt like a dust magnet. The durability of this product exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it!
