Great fabric cutter! I've used this on standard sewing fabrics and leather up to 1/16 inch thick with nothing but clean results. I love how it automatically retracts the blade when not in use. Of course, if you want, you have the option to lock the blade in the open position. Thumb grooves (called a crack on knives) in the notch on the back of the blade provide a good grip when you need to apply some pressure. I recommend the Dahle 10673 Vantage Cutting Mat, 24" x 36", Black Dahle Vantage Cutting Mat. . I have 12x18 and 24x36 from Revain and they are fantastic.
