Review on Nikon D3300 24.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with Auto Focus-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II Zoom Lens (Black) by Vinay Souphaphong ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A practical product, nothing to complain about.

On the D50 it was very convenient to quickly view information about the picture - 5 screens that change by pressing the selector on the back cover - there was a histogram among other things. I didn't find it here. Sadly. But all sorts of fake whistles like dirt - the animation of everything (moving photos during viewing, turning the shutter speed, aperture, ISO), some crazy effects (does anyone use them?). The camera as a disk did not appear in either USB2 or USB3 sockets. Photos managed to be downloaded only through their ViewNX2 program. Sadly. In general, one joy - there were manual settings. At least thanks for that.

Pros
  • Probably the cheapest camera I've ever bought after my D50 broke down a bit. Focuses quickly.
Cons
  • Did not like: - I can not find how to see the histogram on the photo - it is not defined as a media when connected to a computer via a USB cord - perhaps you need to select something in the menu or the connector is broken - I can’t find why yet (maybe it should work only from their program, because only such a method is described in the instructions, but I don't want to install their program yet) - bad without LCD indicator, but maybe it's a matter of time - acquire new habits - 5 focus points in the D50 were enough for everything and you could quickly switch between them, here there are 11 of them - accordingly, the selection efficiency is reduced
