Big money savings. Even works with Cascade 1000. However, coal is garbage. This coal was not washed, the water was getting blacker and blacker. After soaking for an hour and rinsing for 30 minutes, I gave up and threw it away. I have a lot of carbon and since this stuff was so cheap it didn't really matter. Ceramic rings and bio balls are great. I don't use the nets they come in because they have metal zippers so I just add them freely. Despite the fact that carbon is garbage, the price of bioballs and ceramic rings is quite acceptable. I would buy this again.
