My goldfish love it. :)

Excellent as always. I got them for our fish from this seller. This is our second or third order. My goldfish are very very happy and we have enough for 4-5 months. The water in the aquarium is also very clean, if I may say so myself. Thank you CNZ aquarium. I recommend this product and this seller to everyone.

Charcoal requires a lot of rinsing before you put it in the filter

I liked the bio balls and the tiny ceramic rings. i hate carbon My aquarium became very dark and cloudy due to dew washing and activated carbon washing. Maybe I should have flushed it about 100 times in a few days before putting the filter in. Otherwise I think it's ok.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

works perfectly! good for aquarium pumps and filters

This product was purchased to help remove tea color from my pond water. You will need about 15 minutes to hose down the package with a garden hose to remove all the dust. It will never be perfectly clean. I have a 2500 gallon pond and I just tossed the whole bag for the plants. No additional discoloration of the water and clean water on the first day.

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Available in black only

Worse than nothing for water purification.

Very dusty coal that is difficult to clean. But that's not the real problem. The real problem is that I put the bag in a waterfall filter. The bag fell apart after 3 days. I woke up to find the water in my pond was dark black with a film on it making it look like an oil slick. A $50 lash and after 4 days my pond has almost recovered but the bottom and all the rocks remain covered in the remnants of black powdered charcoal.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • old

High quality and good value for money!

I have purchased multiple sets of media from this seller. Don't read the negative reviews which I ignored. I am very happy with my purchases. I wash my media well before use. Not a negative factor as the amount you get is much more than using smaller filter media. So, of course, you need to rinse them a little longer before using them. I will continue to buy these sets from this seller. Great value for money, packaged very well!

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Worst Product: Aquarium Pumps and Filters

This was the worst purchase I have ever made. I am starting a new aquarium and bought this pack because it seemed like a good deal. So I rinsed out the charcoal and tried to put it in my tank and it was scattering black residue all over the pan and tank. It looks like a black mess. I would have to empty my entire 150 gallon tank to clean it out, which would probably take a full day. I should also add that I used to have a tank. So I know how to flush charcoal. Please purchase this product at…

Big money savings - filter accessory

Big money savings. Even works with Cascade 1000. However, coal is garbage. This coal was not washed, the water was getting blacker and blacker. After soaking for an hour and rinsing for 30 minutes, I gave up and threw it away. I have a lot of carbon and since this stuff was so cheap it didn't really matter. Ceramic rings and bio balls are great. I don't use the nets they come in because they have metal zippers so I just add them freely. Despite the fact that carbon is garbage, the price of…

Very heavy, tightly pressed granules

I read that this product can be very dusty in a small carp pond so I rinsed it out very very well. I then placed the media bag in a perforated plastic tray on top of the biofiltration media. It seemed a little dusty at first, but after a few hours the water cleared up. After 24 hours, after adding the 55 gallon drum biofilter, the water is still stabilizing but looking good. It's a charcoal I've never worked with before. I have a large bag of more traditional media and a dozen media packs on…
