I don't really understand why there are so many good reviews. This is normal for solid wood. You have to cover each area twice to get everything. The default suction power is absolutely useless. The high suction power is ideal for hardwoods. There is a design flaw here. Apparently the standard suction power doesn't work on carpet. So you need to switch to high power. The problem is that the suction is too strong. The nozzle sucks so hard on the carpet that it does not allow the brush to rotate. You can go through the same place 7 times and it won't hit even the most elementary particles. If you reset it to default, it can't suck anything. If you need something for hardwood, this is a good option. If you need something for carpet and HW or just carpet, look elsewhere. returned today.
