This item is very good

I am very surprised at how bright this lamp is. I got this because I really needed a dimmable lamp for my tiny workspace and damn it works like a dream. I mounted it on the top left edge of my monitor, and while it's a little finicky, it points right where I need it. The different levels of brightness are exactly what I was aiming for, when my darling was asleep I didn't want to light up the whole room too much. I also got one for my significant other =]
