These floating shelf supports are exactly what you expect when you place your order. They are of decent quality and their installation meets your expectations. I used a smaller drill to drill holes for the anchors in my wall. I think I used 3/8" for this. I used the drill bit required on the shelf itself, however 27/64. I first drilled a hole in the wall, then set my shelf on the brackets and on centered on the wall. I then traced the marks from the brackets onto the wood so I knew where to drill. I only had a battery powered drill and a drill guide so it took a bit of fiddling to get the shelf to where I wanted it.I'm glad these brackets are adjustable once installed.I would recommend a drill if you can borrow from a friend or take the shelf to their shop after marking.I have a large 5/4 -Used cherry top and used three of these staples.It holds up just fine,and only two rivet staples.Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would buy them again.
