Review on 🌡️ White Suburban 161154 Wall Thermostat for Heat-Only Systems by Joshua Overacre

The oven did not turn on despite the thermostat clicking. After dismantling the thermostat, the previously bare brass on the switching contact has turned very brown due to oxidation. When I moved the contacts more with my own hands, the stove came on. I've done this many times because it took a long time to get back. I ordered a new one and put a sheet of 24k gold on either side of the contact switch, which was quite difficult as gold inherently sticks very little, if at all, and basically just wraps it around so it sticks to itself. Hopefully the gold leaf (about $10) will prevent oxidation this time.
