This is amazing. I wanted a pump so I didn't have to lug a 5 gallon jug of water to the dispenser. In addition, dispensers are expensive. I don't like chilled water - I like room temperature. So this little device is perfect for me. I put the pitcher on the counter, so much easier than turning it upside down and sticking it in a small hole! Then attach this pump and you're done. Easy. Because you're pumping water from a long straw to the bottom of the jug, it will take longer to stop the flow of water if the water level drops after you stop pumping water. Therefore, it takes some practice to avoid spilling when filling the container to the top. This is not a design flaw - it is the nature of pumping water from a deep well. It's easy enough to see how it works. I have read reviews of several different pumps and this seems to be the best. I'm glad I chose this one. I will probably use it for many years.
