This is a very durable and heat-dissipating case for the RPi 4B. It was easy to apply silicone (heat) pads to the ICs (as shown in the diagram in the instructions) and then just screw the case around the board. I put in small fans, connected them to the GPIO pins (also like in the diagram), turned everything on and the joy was great. Everything worked great. for a few months. Then one of the fans burned out. The bad news is that unless I accidentally got a bad fan, these little guys just aren't made to run for long periods of time. The good news is that even after turning off the fans completely and leaving the Pi running, I haven't noticed any overheating at all. This radiator cap is very effective in passive cooling. I run my Pi headless so I don't think the GPU does much and the most computationally intensive thing I've done with it is running a Minecraft server. like that . 3 stars. I'm quite happy with the result since I didn't swap out the case, but I was let down by the cheap fans. - A programmer's job, looks like I'll have to put together a little Python script that will only turn the fans on when the Pi's internal temperature exceeds a threshold, and then turn them off again when the temperature drops back down. live and learn It would also be great if the people who sell this suitcase just offered a program like that. Or provide more reliable fans with your product. Why not both?
