My conditions: I am new to networking but have a lot of experience with computer programs, hardware and electronics. Otherwise I have no home network. Wanted to set up ad hoc - 2 computers (1 wireless, 1 ethernet) and 1 printer. It took a long time to learn how to set it up, but that's largely due to my inexperience in the area. The first issue the support team couldn't solve was that I needed a crossover cable for a custom setup. No mention in manual for quick or long version. Then there is a problem with wireless printing when connected to a network (telephone access). Turns out it's the Windows XP (SP 1) firewall. Turned it off and got Zone Alarm - a big improvement. Finally everything works and works great! Much luck!
