I usually buy a cheap car battery from Wally and use it for 2 years, then put it in my solar bench for 2, then it doesn't work and I use it for a replacement. I had 1 of these wouldn't even give 1 ball out of 4 acid strength. After one night with this desulfurizer, 3 balls showed up in all cells after charging. Now charges and shows 4 balls in all cells. It turned the sulfates in the battery back into acid, which I wanted to scrap. The other battery had a completely dead cell but after several desulfation and charge cycles it now holds a charge and I can get it working again. I highly recommend this device to extend the life of old batteries.
