I like this goal very much. I wear low-cut, lightweight sneakers, and when hiking dusty and rocky trails, it's a major annoyance when socks are covered in dust, which then turns to wet mud through sweaty ankles. And getting in the shoes of small pebbles, twigs and leaves is troublesome. These alligators do an excellent job of eliminating these problems. My socks stay nice and clean which is a big plus when you can't wash your socks every night and don't want to carry around a lot of extra pairs. They are so comfortable I can forget I'm wearing them and I don't notice any extra sweating when wearing them in hot weather.
