Perfect for draining an RV water pump

My RV water pump has started to draw city water through the water pump and into the storage tank overflowing. I installed one of these at the outlet and it no longer works and when I turn on the water pump to use it it lets the water flow normally without restriction. Since it's brass, I think it should last a long time. I bought a second one just in case as I like spares should I ever need them while traveling.
