Don't over coat and use different base/top coats

I applied 3 coats the first time and the next day they were flaking/peeling. This may be due to the quality of the base/top coat or there were too many of them. I bought a base/top coat from Modelones and then applied 2 coats of purple from that set plus a coat of glitter from another brand and it stayed. great for over a week. After 1.5 weeks there was some slight lifting on the sides but it didn't come off as easily as the first time I used this set.
