Not the way they used to do it.

Just received. They definitely don't feel as strong/stiff as the old risers that used to be made. They look like thinner, cheaper plastic (manufacturer trimmed some corners to save money) that breaks easily under pressure. However, they hold less than 150 pounds of weight (including bed and baby), so we'll see how long they last. I went with the round base because I figured it wouldn't tip over as easily, but we'll see. I would not recommend anyone to buy these to support a heavy wooden bed frame and an adult.
