Our cat is annoying (for lack of better words) and loves to wake us up while we sleep. We used to keep the door closed but it was peeling the paint off the door and frame and making an awful noise. She tried to just open the door, but she either opened it, then closed it herself and started scratching again. Then these are saved or sleep. Open it up a little and she can get in or out. She still finds ways to be obnoxious, but at least the door won't take a bang.
