This thing does a great job in its main function - grinding coffee. However, I have had several learning experiences with it. 1. Due to the design, the only way to empty the coffee bean hopper is to turn the entire unit upside down. Don't try to remove the funnel from the device like I did lol. 2. A cup into which ground coffee is poured. I kept noticing after I ground and removed the cup that the ground coffee would be all over the bottom of the unit. I've found that tapping the device lightly while the cup is still underneath helps a lot. I feel the unit is quieter than I expected but still noisy. It is better to grind coffee the night before if other people are staying with you. Aside from a few minor learning curves, this is a great grinder.
