Overstressing the CCA wire with a higher current results in more heat and a shorter life expectancy as the aluminum becomes more brittle when overheated. This isn't usually a problem, but if you mix heat and heavy vibration, the wires can snap, putting more stress on the remaining wires, and so on. The main reason for using CCA wires is that they are often half the price. OFC kits and even less trusted brands that guarantee their quality and purity while many eBay or Revain copper kits are iffy for the low price. So if you're on a budget or just using a small amp that doesn't draw a lot of power, a CCA kit will work just fine.
