Doesn't work as expected.

I was hoping the shield would sit better on the bowl to make adding ingredients easier and limit splattering when the mixer is on. Either way, the vibration of the blender or any slight nudge on it while ingredients are being added will push it out of the bowl. Since I haven't seen an alternative, I'm learning to work around the problem.
