I bought this because my couch blocks most outlets in my living room. I built a table for behind the couch and installed this outlet to make it easier to access an outlet and USB ports. It wasn't difficult to install on the table as I had made the table custom for the piece. However, I was very disappointed when I found out the outlet no longer worked about 6 months after plugging it in. At first, I thought my phone chargers were going bad, but when I tested all cords and devices with another outlet and with the direct outlet this was plugged into, I knew it was this power strip. I have found it is better to buy larger surge protectors that have USB ports and attach those to the table instead since it is pretty well hidden. If this were something that was visible though, I would be even more disappointed with this product.
