Came without instructions but does the job when I can find the parts to assemble. Most of it is clearly plywood rather than hardwood, and the box is glued rather than dovetailed. My real problem though is that I'm missing some parts - impossible to attach the legs the way they sent them. The back right corner is also poorly finished - the screws barely touch the other corner as it was very poorly designed. Only glue and a clip hold this corner in place. I return it and find another table, hopefully with directions and full details. UPDATE: Putting everything back in the box, boxing and shipping it to UPS just didn't work so I found the pieces to put it back together and I'm hoping a poorly designed corner will hold up to a bit of abuse. I'm changing my rating from 1 to 2 stars because I was able to "fix" the desk. There are four small screws and three small pieces of plastic left - does anyone know what they are for? Your guess is as good as mine.
