For hardcore gamers using Nvidia, they'll need vertical sync (which this monitor doesn't have), but if you're using AMD cards, free sync is enabled. I use a 144Hz V-sync monitor for gaming and 4K for everyday gaming and some gaming from time to time. That being said, HDR is amazing and has worked flawlessly for the one month I've had it. 600 candelas is bright unless you want to bask your retinas in the sun.
