Review on 💧 KES Shower Shut Off Valve with Lever Handle - Regulate Water Flow, Polished Chrome Finish by Mondreka Rosenhoover

This valve is very high quality, especially for the price, but the only thing that bothers me is the thread. Typically, plumbing fittings (at least in the US) have NPT (tapered) threads. The thread pitch of this valve mates with standard 1/2" NPT fittings, but is NOT tapered, it is a parallel or non-tapered "G" thread designed for use with O-rings (as shown on (see one of the product photos) I was going to deduct a star for this but after reading the description it clearly says it is G 1/2 thread so my fault is if the tube you Connecting, having a decent wall thickness for the ring to be snug to the surface shouldn't be a problem but my application was a thin walled shower neck which resulted in the o ring being pushed into the tube and not when it was around a conical thread acted.
