Review on 🔷 Loctite 515 Gasket Maker & Flange Sealant for Automotive: High Temperature, Medium Strength, Anaerobic, Purple, 50mL (Part Number: 555352) by Chris Goldsby

After much research I decided to give it a try. I have an old Speedaire air compressor that had a leaking valve plate seal that can no longer be replaced. The seal is subjected to heavy compression and excessive heat. After trying to make a replacement using gasket material (which almost worked, but still leaked a bit) I assembled the compressor with this product and it worked perfectly: no leaks. It is imperative that the contact surfaces are very clean before application. It forms a thick gel-like consistency but doesn't harden like many other products. A little more expensive than many other sealers, but well worth it.
