Review on 🔧 AB Tools M10 x 1.0mm Thread Repair Kit/Helicoil 9pc Set - Fix Damaged Threads with AN043 by Scott Channell

Bought to save a cut out rear derailleur hole for an integrated suspension on my steel frame bike. Very nervous about having to drill the frame with the drill bit provided. The spool insert was also a little wobbly because the spool would stretch and become too "slack" if I didn't get it right. I also had to cut the coil about halfway to fit properly in the hangar. After installing the coil, the hole turned out to be too large (larger than the usual hole of the corresponding size). Luckily, the screw still went in perfectly - I think the spool offers more "bite" power than a regular thread, so the hole is a bit larger (if that makes sense). Either way, it's definitely good to have this on hand for future emergencies.
