Slightly smaller than expected, approximately 2 inches in diameter. Gives a lot of bubbles, I hooked mine up to a new XL air pump that can handle 100 gallons and I have to hold it about halfway. So if you have a smaller pump you should be fine. I love the dial that you can add to the line to control how many bubbles you want. The LED light is just a small light that is equal in intensity to the night light in the tank at night. You must disable the LED to turn it off. I'm happy with his performance so far.
