I'm an electrical engineer and thought this would be a good addition to my current solar system. I understand the science of turbines and had realistic expectations. After a month of patience and wind speeds of 24 to 32 km/h with an average of 40 to 50 watts, we survived wind speeds of over 30 km/h for the real test today. The maximum output of this turbine in winds approaching 45 miles per hour was 101 watts. I should have known this was the case as the included controller wiring just can't handle the power for the 800W output. It looks like there are definitely better options in the same price range.
