I replaced an old 2 wire single pole switch with this one. Please note: This switch requires a neutral (*usually white) wire! My old breaker just got switched across the black line/load lines so I had to consult an electrician and was told I needed to make a connection to the closed neutral in the junction box. The switch comes with a short white pigtail that is said to have been designed specifically for this purpose. Once I got everything connected, pairing with the SmartThings Hub was a breeze. It worked on the first try. I've had such bad luck with some of my other "things". +!
