it works perfectly and it's only half as hot as usual.
, it works great and puts out half the heat like a traditional heat lamp. This pear is also smaller which I like and is just perfect for adding some warmth to the hens on those very cold nights. It gives off a "red" light to keep my chickens from sleeping. I had to replace this with a ceramic heating mat that doesn't emit any light and now the chicks sleep through the night. I love this heating pad and would buy it again if needed.
