Excellent drinking water filters, significant chlorine reduction. Water tastes better than bottled RO. A 0.5 micron carbon block water filter is the wrong type when filling the tank for a boat or apartment. You need at least 5 microns in a 3/4" inlet/outlet housing. Or use a larger filter, say 5". This is a great filter for an ice maker or drinking water faucet. I use it with a 1 /4" inlet/outlet body, with a high flow rate for filling jars. But there is also a high-flow version called the FloPlus-10. The CFB-PB10 only drops about 2psi, although it works fine with my 35psi 1/2" feed line. If you need more flow or volume, use a 5" or even 10" filter. This is a 2.5" filter and only lets through what it says a gallon per minute. FloPlus-10 - up to 2 GPM. But I prefer this filter for ice machines and my drinking water faucet because it has more chlorine removed as the FloPlus-10. But most of us probably can't say for sure. Both the CFB-PB10 and FloPlus-10 are excellent 2.5x10 drinking water filters. I change the filters every 2-3 months or whenever when the flow decreases or the chlorine taste returns.
