🔧 Enhanced SHURFLO 25568143 Filter Cartridge Replacement for Optimal Performance Review

This filter was fitted to our RV and it reduced the water pressure so much that we couldn't use it. The pressure has been reduced for both city water and water pump use.

I use this as the final filter (after the 1 micron sediment filter) to filter all incoming water for our RV. It removes virtually EVERYTHING including heavy metals, chlorine and most pathogens. It's nice to have perfectly clean, pure water in our van! In my experience it takes 1 to 3 months (depending on the condition of the incoming water and pressure) before a replacement is needed.

After installing this filter as a regular replacement on a 40ft trawler, the water supply was poor, the pump was noisy and continued to run for 10 seconds or more after the faucet was turned off became. Excellent drinking water filters, significant chlorine reduction. Water tastes better than bottled RO. A 0.5 micron carbon block water filter is the wrong type when filling the tank for a boat or apartment. You need at least 5 microns in a 3/4" inlet/outlet housing. Or use a larger filter, say 5".
