Latest update: Still can't image and root the tablet. DO NOT BUY THIS TABLET. I suspect that there is spyware hidden in the image and therefore you don't have access to root it. Meberry refuses to root. Only one real reason. UPDATE 7. Now the play store is getting worse and worse. Cannot download app. Not alone. Avoid this tablet. If they gave it to me, I wouldn't take it now. You cannot download applications from it. UPDATE: 6 OK, so if you want full control of this tablet, don't buy it. You cannot root your tablet. KINGO ROOT and others say that there is currently no way to root the tablet. I also know that now you can't just download and install things from the play store as you like. It doesn't allow you to download DuckDuckGo or even Firefox. There are many restrictions on what you can and cannot download from the Play Store. You will never be in full control. I'm not sure, but I suspect it might be related to information gathering. I also think you can't root it to see if there are any hidden spy apps. Although I'm not sure about that. Good cheap tablet. It's also very limited in what and how you use it. UPDATE #5: You cannot root this tablet. It's useless to me and many others. It is not rootable because the firmware file and other custom imgs like custom recovery are not available. There is no way to root the tablet, but it is necessary for Meberry. IT IS STUPID NOT TO DO THIS. I downgraded it to 1 star because of this issue. What good if I can't access the file system? UPDATE #4 I've changed my rating to 5 stars. Customer service is very good. They also asked me to get a free upgrade replacement when it comes time for a next-gen tablet. They are determined to get 5 stars and they are working for it. So I give them 5 stars. 3. UPDATE: So today the replacement came faster than I thought. It has no bubbles under the screen and works great so far. Meberry also contacted me from the support team and said that if I had any issues with it, they would look into it and replace it ASAP. They are more than willing to support their tablets. I haven't found better support from those who sell Revain. So far the new tablet works great and fast. It works with Copilot GPS with no lag, which tells me it has a lot of processing power under the hood. This tablet works great with most high end tablets which I have no doubt about. You can't touch it for money and the support is above average. I can only give 4 stars because I had to send the first part back. It has a good screen and plays my tablo and streaming media just fine. The picture looks as good as the human eye can see. I would highly recommend this tablet to anyone. SECOND UPDATE: Meberry contacted me about this and Revain changed shipping. Instead of arriving after Christmas, it arrives today, 4 days before. Me-Berry was willing to do whatever I asked to help the situation come back no turning back, they wanted to make sure I was a happy customer if they could and support the customer and the product. I can't ask for more from any provider. I am changing my star rating to 3 due to the customer service received and will update again once I have a new tablet and will test how well it works. UPDATE: Meberry emailed me with help on adding a micro card to the tablet. They helped me very quickly. So good service for sure. The tablet runs smoothly and much faster than I expected. I think Meberry is trying hard to support the product and it's definitely a good product. It may not have a high-resolution screen, but it's still a very good screen and the picture is very good. From what has been said I have to say I am disappointed that I had to send mine back. It seems that the screen is not installed properly and the tablet has become unusable. Several times when I touched it, the system rebooted. When turning off, you could almost hear a brief noise. You can see in my attached pictures there are bubbles under the screen. Big was there on day one. On the 2nd day a second one appeared and that's when my problems with reboots or shutdowns started. Because of this problem, I asked for a replacement. Like I said I love this tablet and for the money it's a fantastic deal. I just think they need better quality control at the factory. The worst thing is I now have to wait 10 days for a replacement from Revain and I have already handed the old one over to UPS. I don't know why they are so slow to send a new one. The first lasted only a few days. If the next one is bad, I'll get upset. I have to drive about 10 miles to ship it back via UPS and it sucks. BUT. It's faster than I thought it would be and feels like a high-end tablet at a very good price. However, I can't figure out how to install a micro card for more storage. For that I give 1 star. Will update this review if that changes. You need to slightly improve the instructions for this part. I have no idea how to install a microcard.
