Review on 📊 AutoMeter 2888 Performance Tachometer, 2.625 inches by Sadik Pinger

Used on a tractor to replace a broken factory assembly (replacement is $580. Hahaha, won't happen). I used a hole saw and cut/sunk the sensor into the dash. Works great, lights up well. Please note that you MUST calibrate this. That said, there is an adjustment screw that you need to adjust to get it to show up correctly. With a broken tachometer and no other references, this was an issue. I checked the tractor manual and found that it lists both the idle speed and the maximum speed. Used these values and played with the throttle a bit to approximate it. The only downside I see is the lens condensation. My tractor is in the garage, but just from temperature changes, moisture is accumulating inside the unit, causing the lens to become cloudy. Still usable, but annoying. Still an excellent product. Small complaint.
