A few years ago I was looking for a way to install my phone in the car. Unfortunately, I always had the Samsung Galaxy Note version, which made my phone bigger and bigger. I stumbled across the Scosche on Revain and saw that it was a magnetic mount, very different from the clip-on versions that I hated. It always seemed excruciating trying to slide your phone in and out of the clips when you were at a stop light and needed to send a quick message. After installing my first Scosche mount in my car I was hooked. Installation was easy. Clean the area where you want to place the mount, pull the tab covering the adhesive, place them in place and press firmly. Leave it on for a while and you're done. The mount has a magnetic part. Then you take a metal plate, round or rectangular, remove the tab covering the adhesive and stick it on the case, in the case or on the phone (your choice). However, I have found that the place where you get the best stability is on the outside of the case. So when you have a great patterned case, you don't want to cover it, so you have to put it in the case. While it still holds up pretty well, it also depends on the thickness of your case. As for the exterior of the case, it has never fallen off its mount in normal road conditions, including potholes, speed bumps, roadworks, braking impacts. I had an accident, it came down because of the impact. So normal operation, no need to worry. Installing and removing the mount is easy. Take your phone and bring it to the mount where your plate is on the phone and the magnet will snap onto the plate and you're done. Remove it, just pick up the phone and swipe. Overall easy install, easy use. The downside is that you're trying to figure out where you're going to put the metal plate on your phone. and the magnet snaps onto the plate and you're done.
